Bringing Thyroid Ablation Training Closer to Reality 🩺

On October 13, 2026, LYSON Medical Technology visited Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for a Thyroid and Head & Neck hands-on workshop. The session began with discussions of common clinical patient scenarios, allowing participants to explore real-world considerations in thyroid nodule management before moving into practical training.

Using Lyson's SimTissue® Thyroid Nodule Biopsy and Ablation Training Platform, the doctors practiced essential ultrasound-guided intervention skills, including nodule localization, needle positioning, and hydrodissection techniques. Hydrodissection involves injecting fluid to create a protective separation between the target area and surrounding structures, an important technique during thyroid thermal ablation procedures.
